The Vergé-Déprés beat Dorina and Ronja Klinger 21:17, 22:20 in a duel between sisters. The Austrians had also won their first two matches and had already qualified for the first knockout round. The Vergé-Dépré sisters will face the Americans Julia Donlin/Lexy Denaburg in the round of 16. The second Swiss women's duo will also play their round of 16 final on Tuesday against the Spaniards Dani and Tania.

On the men's side, Yves Haussener and Julian Friedli defeated the outsiders Damian Gomez/Eblis Veranes from Cuba 21-13, 21-18 in their last group match, thus showing the hoped-for reaction to their defeat on Saturday against the favorites Cherif Younousse/Ahmed Tijan from Qatar. They will now face France's Rémi Bassereau/Calvin Ayé in the round of 16 on Tuesday.

Marco Krattiger and Leo Dillier are also directly through to the round of 16, where they will take on Stefan Boermans/Yorick de Groot from the Netherlands on Wednesday. Adrian Heidrich and Jonathan Jordan, who are not among the top four third-placed players in the group, will have to take a detour via the play-off. They will play Austria's Timo Hammarberg and Tim Berger for a place in the round of 16.
