The Washington Wizards with Kyshawn George from Wallis lose 103:123 in Detroit. The game gets hectic when George gets violent against the outstanding Cade Cunningham (27 points).
Kyshawn George pushed Cunningham away in the first quarter and was immediately protected by his (older) teammates in the ensuing scuffle. At least the young Swiss player's action meant that the game wasn't just a game. Because the sporting tension was practically non-existent. The Washington Wizards, the weakest team in the NBA, were constantly trailing in Detroit; in the second half, the Pistons always had at least a ten-point lead.
Things even turned nasty in the final period when two Wizards players - Richaun Holmes and Marcus Smart - were ejected after fouls.
Detroit and Washington will face each other again in Detroit on Friday night. With four wins out of the last eight games, Washington is currently playing more successfully than ever before this season.
