After years of waiting, female ski jumpers will finally be able to compete in the full Four Hills Tournament.

From the 2026/27 season, they will most likely be jumping in Oberstdorf, Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Innsbruck and Bischofshofen alongside the 75th edition of the men's event.

The move is made possible by an agreement between the Austrian Ski Association and the state of Tyrol to finance a new floodlight system at the Bergisel in Innsbruck, as detailed in a press release. This lighting was seen as a decisive prerequisite for the integration of the women's competitions.

With the decision to equip all four Tournament hills with floodlights, the organizers around FIS Race Director Sandro Pertile now have additional scope for planning. As things stand at present, the women's competitions will in future be held on the same day as the men's qualifiers.
