Fabio Wyrsch, Jan Lochbihler and Christoph Dürr win the first Swiss medal at the World Championships in Cairo. The trio secured bronze in the 50 m three-position rifle match.
The battle for third place was a very close affair. The three Swiss had the same number of points as Italy in the final ranking with 1764, but retained the upper hand thanks to the higher number of maximum hits.
With just one point less, Serbia and the USA took 5th and 6th place respectively. France won the title with 1771 points ahead of Norway with 1768 points.
