For the Swiss alpine snowboarders, things get serious for the first time at the home World Championships in the Engadine on Thursday.
Julie Zogg is one of the favorites in the parallel giant slalom, her second strongest discipline. Dario Caviezel, who won the World Cup in Bansko in January, is also likely to win a medal.
Ladina Caviezel won silver in the parallel slalom at the 2023 World Championships and bronze in the parallel giant slalom in 2019, but is yet to finish in the top three this season. 21-year-old Flurina Bätschi made it onto the World Cup podium for the first time in Davos in December.
The knockout runs start at 13:00. Before that, the qualifications will take place in the morning (from 9.00 am).
