Luke Littler has cleared the next hurdle on his way to his first World Championship title. The 17-year-old Englishman defeated compatriot Nathan Aspinall 5:2 in the quarter-finals.
Last year's finalist Littler played great against Aspinall right from the start. "The Nuke", as Littler is known, won the first two sets straight away and could not be caught after that. He will meet Stephen Bunting in the semi-final on Thursday. The Englishman also previously beat former champion Peter Wright from Scotland 5:2.
In the other semi-final, the third Englishman, Chris Dobey, will meet Michael van Gerwen from the Netherlands.
