The ZSC Lions are reacting to the departure of Canadian forward Andy Andreoff by signing the Swede Johan Sundström as their seventh foreigner.
The 33-year-old center joins the Swiss champions from Finland, with whom he signed a contract valid until the end of the current season.
Sundström comes from the Frölunda organization. With the club from Gothenburg, he won the Champions League three times and the Swedish championship once.
The two-way center, who made eleven NHL appearances during a three-year stint in North America over a decade ago, played the last two and a half seasons for the Finnish club Vaasan Sport, where he was a member of the captain's team.
