The ZSC Lions win the first rematch of last spring's playoff final in Lausanne against Lausanne 3:1. The ZSC Lions seem to have found themselves again.
Lausanne led 1-0 in the top-of-the-table game until the 30th minute, when Denis Hollenstein and Pontus Aberg (in overtime) turned the game around within five minutes in favor of the Lions, who won for the third time in a row. ZSC's away win was aided by Lausanne's absences: Antti Suomela was already out injured in the first match, goalie Drake Caggiula had to go to the showers early after a major penalty. With only ten forwards and without these two important imports, Lausanne was no longer able to respond.
HC Davos benefited from the defeat of leaders Lausanne. The Grisons regained the lead in the standings after five days with a 4-2 home win against Freiburg in the second top-of-the-table game of the evening.
The Rapperswil-Jona Lakers also remain at the top of the table. The team from St. Gallen continued their high-flying run with a 4-2 home win over HC Ambri-Piotta.
Schlittschuhclub Bern secured a much-needed victory in the derby against the SCL Tigers. However, the Bernese claimed a portion of luck: the SCL Tigers kept the game more than even for a long time. Langnau shot on goal more often in the first 40 minutes (20:12). But Adam Reideborn, the Swedish goalie, saved the game for SCB with 26 saves.
In addition, EV Zug inflicted its sixth defeat in a row on HC Ajoie in Pruntrut with a 3-1 win.
