The ZSC Lions have secured the services of Malte Strömwall for two years starting next season, as the Zurich club has announced.
The 31-year-old Swede is currently the top scorer for league rivals Rapperswil-Jona Lakers, for whom he has been playing since the 2024-25 season. In 86 games for St. Gallen so far, he has scored 37 goals and 36 assists. "He has an excellent shot and, as a right-handed shooter, he provides variability," ZSC's Head of Sport Sven Leuenberger is quoted as saying.
In addition, the Lions extended their partnership with 20-year-old defenceman Timo Bünzli until 2027, while ZSC signed young forwards Kimo Gruber and Endo Meier from the GCK Lions farm team to one-year contracts.
