Zug's losing streak is taking on frightening proportions. With a 2:4 home defeat against bottom team Ajoie, they lost their seventh game in a row. SC Bern's home woes also continue.

As a result, EV Zug could not only lose out on direct playoff qualification, but even the play-in. After the 2:4 against Ajoie, they remain without a win this calendar year and are only seven points ahead of eleventh-placed Biel.

The SCL Tigers drew level with Zug with a 3-0 win against Servette, who lost for the first time after seven wins in a row. SC Bern, on the other hand, lost ground again, suffering their third home defeat of the year with a 4-1 loss to Lugano - with only one goal scored.

Alongside Lugano, the ZSC Lions are also one of the winners in the upper regions of the table. With a 3:1 win at direct rivals Rapperswil-Jona Lakers, the champions consolidated their place in the top six and extended the gap to their closest rivals to seven points.

Lausanne halted its negative streak of five defeats with a 3-2 overtime win in Kloten, but had to let Lugano pull away slightly. The top duo Davos and Fribourg-Gottéron had no game on Friday.
