Von Allmen and Meillard go on the hunt for medals together

The duos for the men's team combined at the World Championships in Saalbach have been announced. Among others, downhill world champion Franjo von Allmen and high-class technician Loïc Meillard will form a team on Wednesday.

Tanguy Nef and Alexis Monney, the bronze medal winner in the downhill, will also be competing together. Daniel Yule forms a team with Justin Murisier, Marc Rochat with Stefan Rogentin.

The big absentee at the premiere of the men's format is Marco Odermatt. The super-G world champion already told "ServusTV" on Monday evening that the giant slalom on Friday had "higher priority" for him. Instead of "needing a lot of energy again" in the team combined, he will concentrate on the giant slalom training. The 27-year-old from Nidwalden is the defending champion in the basic discipline.
