Julien's Auctions has announced the complete lineup of their 'Music Icons' auction, to take place on Saturday, May 18 at the Hard Rock Café in New York and online at juliensauctions.com. Standing atop the auction stage will be some of the most celebrated and important music memorabilia and ephemera touched by the worldâÄôs greatest music artists and pop culture icons of all time.

Au lieu de repousser ou d'annuler l'événement, les VMAs de MTV vont sans doute être organisés sans public. C'est en tout cas une des options envisagées par le gouverneur de New York, où doit se tenir la cérémonie, lors d'une conférence de presse.

Les prochains MTV Video Music Awards se dérouleront sans public, ou avec un public « limité », selon le gouverneur de l'état de New York, Andrew Cuomo. De nombreuses remises de prix ont été repoussées ou annulées en raison de la pandémie de coronavirus cette année, et il semblerait que l'événement de l'année pour la chaîne musicale ait trouvé une méthode pour contourner les interdictions : se contenter d'une cérémonie sans public.

« Nous sommes excités de pouvoir proposer les VMAs à New York, la Mecque culturelle mondiale où la musique et le divertissement font partie de l'ADN de la ville », a déclaré Bruce Gillem, président de la musique, du talent musical, des programmes et des événements chez ViacomCBS Media Networks

Il s'agira du premier événement au Barclays Center depuis le début de la pandémie, et des premiers VMAs à se tenir dans cette salle qui accueille également les Brooklyn Nets de la NBA, depuis 2013. Aucun autre détail n'a pour l'instant été révélé sur la cérémonie.
