The Breakthrough Prize today announced that its seventh annual ceremony, known as the âÄúOscars of Science,âÄù will feature a musical performance by Academy Award winner and four-time Grammy Award winner Lionel Richie, and a special performance by ChinaâÄôs top-selling female artist and Artist of the Year G.E.M., who will perform her song âÄúLight Years Away,âÄù which has achieved more than one billion views in just a yearâÄôs time. 

 

The performers will be joined by a star-studded line-up of celebrity presenters. Hosted by acclaimed actor, producer and philanthropist Pierce Brosnan, the show will take place on Sunday, November 4, and broadcast live at 10 PM ET / 7 PM PT on National Geographic.

 

Orlando Bloom, Ron Howard, Julianne Moore, Thandie Newton, Lupita Nyong'o, Zoe Saldana and G.E.M. will serve as on-stage presenters during the ceremony, which recognizes scientists and scientific achievement, specifically in the life sciences, physics, and mathematics.

Lana Del Rey n’a eu d’autre choix que d’annuler les dates européennes de sa tournée après être tombée malade. La chanteuse s’est excusée auprès de son public dans un post Twitter.

Lana Del Rey a dû annuler sa tournée européenne après avoir attrapé une mystérieuse maladie.

La chanteuse était censée poursuivre son Norman F**king Rockwell! Tour cette semaine en passant par les Pays-Bas, le France, l’Angleterre et l’Allemagne pour une poignée de concerts. Mais l’artiste a appris à son public dans un post Twitter que son mal avait affecté sa voix. « Je suis désolée de laisser tout le monde tomber à la dernière minute mais cette maladie m’a prise par surprise et j’ai totalement perdu ma voix pour chanter, a écrit l’interprète de Video Games. Le docteur m’a conseillé de prendre quatre semaines de repos pour le moment. Je déteste laisser tomber tout le monde mais je dois me remettre. Je vous aime. Lana. » Les billets de ses concerts seront donc remboursés.

Néanmoins, Lana Del Rey n’a rien annoncé concernant la suite de sa tournée en Amérique du Sud qui doit débuter le 27 mars à Santiago, au Chili. Il lui restera ensuite quelques dates en Amérique du Nord ainsi qu’en Europe durant l’été, dont un passage au festival de Glastonbury.
