La casa farmaceutica Moderna ha reso noto che le autorità regolatorie americane hanno ritardato la decisione sull'approvazione del vaccino anti Covid per gli adolescenti per avere più tempo per valutare il potenziale rischio di miocarditi e pericarditi.

«La Food and Drug Administration ha informato «Moderna che l'agenzia richiede ulteriore tempo per valutare le recenti analisi internazionali sul rischio di miocarditi dopo la vaccinazione», ha spiegato la società.

La valutazione se raccomandare o meno il vaccino ai ragazzi tra i 12 e i 17 anni potrebbe durare sino al prossimo gennaio, ha precisato l'azienda.
