Carlos Santana collapsed on stage during a concert. The great heat and lack of fluids had taken their toll on the 74-year-old during the performance near Detroit in the US state of Michigan.

This was announced by his management on Carlos Santana 's verified Facebook page.
The musician collapsed during his concert at the Pine Knob Music Theatre, an open-air amphitheater in the US town of Clarkston near Detroit.
Photos and videos on social media show the 74-year-old guitarist being treated on stage. Santana was subsequently taken to the emergency room of a nearby hospital for observation, but is doing well.
Next concert postponed
However, the concert that was planned for today, Wednesday, in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania, has had to be postponed. Carlos Santana is currently on his "Miraculous Supernatural" tour.
The Mexican-born musician rose to stardom with his band at the legendary Woodstock Festival in 1969. The multiple Grammy winner is regarded as the inventor of Latin rock.
He has been a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame since 1998. Santana's classics include "Black Magic Woman", "Samba Pa Ti" and a guitar-driven version of "Oye Como Va".
At the end of last year, he released the album "Blessings And Miracles".
