His concert on Sunday in the Austrian ski resort of Ischgl was disrupted by climate activists. Two members of the "Last Generation" stormed Gabalier's stage at the Open Air in Ischgl - and wanted to hold up a banner.

But Gabalier's security immediately stopped them. Before they were taken away, they threw confetti around.

Folk rocker Andreas Gabalier was not irritated by the action. He joked: "Maybe it's a carnival act or something?" The audience applauded.

The action is not a carnival joke

The climate activists of "Last Generation Austria" have commented on Gabalier's action on X.

They wrote: "If you take the climate crisis seriously, then we know that governments around the world, and especially in Austria, need to do something about it as a matter of urgency.
