In the "Radio Times Podcast ", Lily Allen talks about the connections between family and career - and the sacrifices that have to be made.

The British singer and actress is married to David Harbour ("Stranger Things"), and the 38-year-old has two daughters from a previous marriage.

In an interview with the "Radio Times", she doesn't mince her words - something we are used to seeing from her - and says: "I love my children and they complete me, but they have ruined my fame as a pop star."

She doesn't regret the decision

It also annoys her when people say you can have everything in life: "Honestly, you can't." Allen explains why she chose her role as a mother over her career with her childhood: "When I was a child, my parents were pretty absent, and I feel like that really left some bad scars that I don't want to repeat on myself."

She does not regret this decision. She deliberately shifted down a gear "to concentrate on the children". Her two daughters are also "pretty good people" because of this.

Lily Allen was an integral part of the charts in the 2000s. She made her breakthrough in 2006 with the single "Smile". She was also one of London's most notorious party girls before moving to the country after the birth of her first daughter in 2011.
