Keyboardist Sebastian Schilde is no longer a member of Scooter. There are said to have been tensions within the band. It doesn't hurt Schilde at all to no longer have a contract.

Sebastian Schilde, keyboardist for the band Scooter, announced his departure in an Instagram story.

The musician had been a member of the German Eurodance band since 2019 and wrote in his post: "I'm happy to no longer be a member of Scooter. I'm just very happy that it's over. I wasn't at the last shows because I wasn't allowed to."

This raised a few question marks among fans. However, Scooter co-founder Jens Thele countered with the statement: "His contract has expired. He wasn't at the last two shows and was replaced by former band member Jay Frog. That was a decision not in his favor, but it wasn't a stage ban."

"It's a natural process"

Jens Thele also tells Bild that a documentary about the band is due in January. It had become apparent that there were tensions within Scooter: "It's a natural process that we replace musicians."

H.P. Baxxter also stated that they had spent four wonderful years with "Basti" and wished him all the best.

With 30 million records sold, the Hamburg techno band Scooter is one of the most successful bands of all time. In England in particular, they have gone platinum several times over. The album "Jumping All Over The World" even reached number one in the UK charts.
