Kylie Minogue moved back to her native Australia in 2021. Down Under, the singer is enjoying being with her family while she is celebrating a musical comeback with a TikTok hit.

"The connection between a love relationship and fundamental happiness cannot be expressed in a mathematical equation," says Kylie Minogue in an interview with the Augsburger Allgemeine newspaper.

The Australian pop singer is currently enjoying her single life to the full.

"I don't have a partner at the moment," she reveals. "I'm focusing on myself at the moment and I'm not missing anything." She is not hiding from the world. "But I think I'm enough for myself right now."

Kylie Minogue: "I've overcome some obstacles"

She really enjoys "being exactly the person in exactly the body" that she is right now, Minogue continued.

"I've overcome some obstacles in my life and I'm on a journey where I'm constantly reflecting and getting to know myself better and better."

The 55-year-old pop singer ("Spinning Around", "Your Disco Needs You") released her new album "Tension" this week. Her single "Padam Padam" was one of this year's international summer hits and an internet phenomenon.

Minogue has a hit on the internet for the first time

"After 35 years, this is the first time I've had a hit on the internet, it's so cool," says Kylie Minogue. Now the new generation knows who she is.

"It's so crazy and so wonderful at the same time. Now the kids are really diving deep into my story and my music catalog. They are totally curious and are just discovering 'Can't Get You Out Of My Head', a song that is over 20 years old."

Minogue is delighted that so many people who have never heard of her before are now being introduced to her music for the first time thanks to "Padam Padam".

Kylie Minogue moved back to her native Melbourne, Australia, two years ago after living in London for almost 30 years. She has always flown back and forth between Australia and the rest of the world a lot, says the singer.

"But now it's especially nice for my parents to have me close by. They know that they can see me more often, and my brother, sister and nephews are also there. It's good for me to be able to be with my family more often. These people mean so much to me."
