First, pop singer Michelle (51) lost her manager a few weeks ago - he sacked her, apparently because of her relationship with colleague Eric Philippi (26). Love "made her blind", he said.
Now she is also in trouble with the law. As RTL writes, the musician has been given a penalty order for eight months. This was decided by the district court in Bonn.
The sentence is said to have been suspended on probation. If it became legally binding, the singer would have a criminal record.
Lawyer wants to appeal against the decision
Michelle is accused of tax evasion between 2018 and 2020. She has already repaid the amount of CHF 153,000 due to the tax office. According to RTL, she will now take legal action against the decision with her lawyer.
According to the TV channel, the penalty order was only sent out at the beginning of the week - she may not have received it yet. As soon as it arrives, the 51-year-old has two weeks to lodge an appeal.
