Rammstein have finished their current European tour.
Guitarist Richard Kruspe has posted a cryptic statement about the end of the tour.
Some fans see this as an allusion to the fact that the band is breaking up.
What's next for Rammstein? This question has come up again and again in recent weeks.
Even after their last album, which ended with the farewell song "Adieu", there was repeated speculation that the band might break up. After the abuse allegations against singer Till Lindemann, these rumors resurfaced - and are now being fueled by a band member.
At the end of the tour, guitarist Richard Kruspe posted a picture of himself on stage. He cryptically addressed his fans: "Thank you for being you. I don't know what the future holds, but it will definitely be different."
According to Kruspe, it is not clear from the post what exactly will be different. However, his fans are worried about the statement. "I don't like reading that at all," writes one Instagram user. "That sounds like the end of the best band. We need Rammstein", another.
Till Lindemann is accused of systematically working with several assistants to find young women for sex after his concerts. This also led to assaults and abuse. The singer denies all allegations. The Berlin public prosecutor's office is currently investigating the singer and several charges have been filed against him.
Drummer speaks out
So far, only drummer Christopher Schneider has commented personally on the allegations of abuse. "The allegations of the last few weeks have deeply shaken us as a band and me as a person," he wrote on Instagram.
"I feel like I've been in shock by the things that have been shared and printed on social media and in the press about our singer." Lorenz admitted that Lindemann had distanced himself from the band, but does not believe that "anything forbidden" had happened. Schneider also emphasized that the band "sticks together".
