Robbie Williams claims to have hung his own work of art in The Fontenay hotel unnoticed during a visit to Hamburg and found it there months later.
"I stayed in a beautiful hotel in Hamburg, I left something on the wall," the musician posted on Instagram and published a video.
The 49-year-old describes his prank as "the simplest abstract art you can ever make" on his tablet computer.

Accordingly, he printed, framed, signed and hung up the picture in November 2022. The picture shows gray and black intertwined lines and dots on a white background.
Below it is written in English "Hotels hang up any old crap and call it art". In November, Williams was in Hamburg for an exclusive concert at the Elbphilharmonie.
When he visited Hamburg again at the end of January 2023, the picture was still hanging on the wall, he said in a second part of the video. "It's still there. They didn't mention anything. I guess it has gone unnoticed."

Robbie Williams was in the Hanseatic city for three arena concerts at the beginning and end of February. There may be more of these jokes from the international star in future.
"Yes, that's fun. I'll do that more often," he announced in the video with a grin.
The hotel itself did not want to comment on Williams' video on Tuesday. "We respect the confidentiality of each of our guests, so we will not be commenting on this," said a spokeswoman for The Fontenay hotel.
