The Zurich TV presenter got to know the rock icon from Küsnacht ZH. The US-American singer with a Swiss passport was a guest on several TV shows and also received the Swiss Award in the Show category from Sandra Studer on January 9, 2010.
Sandra Studer experienced a panic moment there because of Tina Turner, she recalls: "I had her on a few shows that I hosted. I particularly remember the Swiss Award, where we didn't know until the end whether she was coming or not. She was nominated, the show had already started, we only had half an acceptance at the start," Studer adds: "The seat in the Hallenstadion remained empty until the moment when I was already presenting the category, I panicked. Then, while the film with the three nominees was being shown, she was actually led into the hall and took her seat. She then accepted her award. I remember she flooded the Hallenstadion with her charisma. That was mega beautiful."
