Susan Boyle became one of Britain's most successful musicians thanks to "Britain's Got Talent".
On Sunday evening, Boyle celebrated her TV comeback in the final of the talent show. At the end of the 16th season, she sang the song "I Dreamed a Dream" from the musical "Les Misérables".
She also won over the jury with this song during her legendary first TV appearance in 2009.
"It feels great for me to be here"
After several successful albums - no album has ever sold better in the UK than her debut album - she withdrew from the limelight in recent years.
On "Britain's Got Talent", she also revealed the reason: Boyle is struggling with health problems.
"It feels great for me to be here," said the singer after her performance. "It's very special for me because I suffered a mild stroke last April. I fought to get back on stage and I did it."
The 62-year-old received thunderous applause for her performance. "Britain's Got Talent" jury head Simon Cowell also raved: "We owe you so much. You are incredible."
The winner of the 16th season is Norwegian comedian Viggo Venn. He won over the audience and the jury with his comedy, in which he mainly works with props.
