The wife of British singer James Morrison (39) is dead. Gill Catchpole died at the age of 45 at their home in Whitminster, around 180 kilometers from London.
According to the Daily Mail, the musician is "devastated", having been with Catchpole since the age of 17. She was also the mother of their daughters Elsie (15) and Ada (5).
The relationship between the singer and his wife was characterized by difficult moments. The births of both daughters were not without complications: Elsie's umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck and Ada was born 13 weeks prematurely.

According to the Daily Mail, the premature birth was particularly hard on the couple. Morrison's current album is therefore also entitled "You're Stronger Than You Know".
The 39-year-old described his wife as a hero after the birth of Ada: "I'm still in awe of how she got through it. She is my rock. I could never replace her."
According to initial reports, Gill Catchpole died of natural causes, at least that is what friends of the family told the British newspaper "The Sun". The whole village of Whitminster is also in shock, they say, as Gill Catchpole was seen as a warm person and the whole family was loved.
