Just over a week ago, Luca and Christina Hänni welcomed their daughter into the world.

On Instagram, the 34-year-old gives her fans an update on life as a mother.

She had no expectations for the postpartum period. But what she underestimated was breastfeeding: a full-time job.

"And I'm used to working a lot." But Christina Hänni is only now really realizing how long, how often and how intensively the baby needs her physically.

Christina Hänni apologizes for the radio silence

Christina Hänni also emphasizes how important it is to take time for yourself mentally.

During this time, you forget to think about yourself, about healing after the birth: "And that you have a huge wound in your body."

Nevertheless, the new mother apologizes to her fans for the current radio silence, but explains that she wants to enjoy the first few days with her newborn to the full.

Luca Hänni: "I'm already a diaper-changing pro"

A kind of daily routine is slowly returning to the Hänni household - although not a real routine, as Christina emphasizes. Luca and she are gradually learning to recognize and understand their daughter's needs.

"I'm coping really well with the nights," reports Christina. "Maybe it's the adrenaline. I want to snog and stare at her all the time."

Luca Hänni is also thriving in his role as a father, as he explains in the first episode of their joint podcast as parents "Don't Worry Be Hänni": "I'm already a diaper-changing pro."

Luca has also taken his first walk with his daughter - for a rather selfish reason, as he admits: "I just had to get out and about."

Christina Hänni is surprised at how loud her daughter farts

Luca Hänni sings for his daughter every day, often in the form of improvised, melodic commentaries on his everyday activities. "I comment on everything in song, like Marshall from 'How I Met Your Mother'," he laughs.

And Christina Hänni can't help but laugh in her story when she tells her 388,000 followers (5,000 more than husband Luca!): "I'm surprised how loud such a little creature can fart!"

Luca and Christina Hänni met in 2020 on the dance show "Let's Dance" and fell in love. In August last year, they tied the knot in a family ceremony in Italy. The pregnancy news followed a few months later.
