  • The 31-year-old, who grew up in the canton of Aargau, also reveals: "We want to start a family."

Swiss top model Ronja Furrer and Jack Becht, creative director at fashion house Ralph Lauren, got married in Italy. Over 120 guests from all over the world traveled to Perugia for the wedding in August.

Becks had become aware of Furrer through his work in the fashion industry. The couple had their very first date two and a half years ago in a pub in Manhattan - where they are said to have laughed about their "matching outfits".

Ronja Furrer and Jack Beck not only had the same boots and the same shirt, but also the same rucksack and the same wallet . But there was more, the couple tell us in the current issue of "Vogue Germany".

Furrer and Beck felt that they shared the same dreams and the same goals. And so the first drink turned into a meal and eventually the first kiss.

"Looking at possible wedding venues for a weekend"

The wedding of Becht and Furrer, who grew up in Lüterkofen in the canton of Aargau, lasted a total of three days. The wedding ceremony took place at the villa "La Torre di Pila" near Perugia.

"We spent a weekend looking at possible locations for our wedding in Tuscany and Umbria. We immediately fell in love with 'La Torre di Pila'," says the couple.

Among the more than 120 guests were familiar faces such as actresses Pom Klementieff and Sasha Frolova, musician Jamie T, artist Misha Kahn and models Anja Leuenberger, Lola McDonnell and Rachelle Haris.

Furrer and Becht had come up with something special for their guest gifts:

Two years ago, the couple bought a 1966 Ford Mustang in Atlanta and have been renovating it as a shared hobby ever since. The wedding wish list therefore consisted exclusively of Mustang spare parts.

Furrer's wedding dress was designed by Olivier Theysken

Ronja Furrer's wedding dress was designed by her together with Belgian designer Olivier Theyskens. She visited his studio in Paris three times to discuss the designs. After various alterations, she opted for a floor-length, draped, off-the-shoulder dress made of Bianco silk crepe with a train.

Jack Becht wore a bespoke tuxedo by Jake Meuser during the ceremony. Just like his wife, Becht met with the designer three times to discuss his ideas.

The 38-year-old chose cufflinks from Tiffany & Co., a silver bracelet engraved with the words "Family first" and a Breitling watch. The couple's rings were also made by Tiffany & Co.

In his wedding speech, the groom recalled their first date in the New York pub: "Ronja, you sat there on that bar stool and it broke my heart. You were so perfect and I was totally beside myself."

The bride also recalled their very first meeting in her speech: "Jack, when you sat down next to me, I felt so at peace inside. Our connection was new and yet felt so familiar."

"We have the same dry sense of humor"

In addition to their similar taste in fashion, Ronja Furrer and Jack Becht have a lot more in common. "We quickly realized how similar we are," the couple tells Vogue Germany.

"We have the same temperament, the same dry sense of humor." Their similarities go so far that they have already become a joke.

The two spend their free time in New York City or in Switzerland. Furrer and Becht like to be adventurous and sporty: from sailing in the Aegean Sea, horseback riding in Mallorca and skiing in Switzerland to motorcycle trips on Long Island and road trips to Las Vegas in their still rickety '66 Mustang.

And when Furrer started training for the marathon in New York City, Becht did the same shortly afterwards. "The things we share are so important to us," says the couple.

These include values such as family and stability, openness and respect - but also the fact that Furrer and Becht always want to place their love at the center of their shared universe. "And the family we want to start."
