Manuel Akanji's performances at the European Championship in Germany have earned him a place in the team of the tournament.
As UEFA announced on Tuesday, the Swiss central defender is one of four players in the best eleven alongside Germany's Jamal Musiala and France's Mike Maignan and William Saliba, who did not play in the final.
European champions Spain form the framework of the European Dream Team with six players - Rodri, Lamine Yamal, Nico Williams, Dani Olmo, Fabian Ruiz and Marc Cucurella. Only right-back Kyle Walker from England, who lost out in the final, made the squad.
With Akanji, Rodri and Walker, Manchester City is the most strongly represented club. There are no players from Champions League winners Real Madrid in the squad.
