Servette's European Cup opponents Braga need a new coach shortly after the start of the season. The club has announced that Daniel Sousa will no longer coach the first team with immediate effect.

He had only signed a two-year contract in May. Sousa will be replaced by his current assistants for the time being. A new coach will be introduced "in due course".

Braga have played four competitive matches this season and lost none of them. The Portuguese club began the season with two clear victories against Israeli side Maccabi Petach Tikva in the Europa League qualifiers. Last Thursday, the team had to settle for a 0-0 draw at home against Servette. This was followed by a 1-1 draw against Estrela Amadora on Sunday, also in front of a home crowd.

Last season's fourth-placed team will play away in Geneva on Thursday. The second leg of the 3rd qualifying round kicks off at 20:30.
