Young Boys' horror week ended with a debacle at FC St. Gallen. Chadrac Akolo and Willem Geubbels in the opening stages of the first half and Felix Mambimbi and Christian Witzig in the first ten minutes after the break ensured the clear difference between the strong eastern Swiss and the weak Bernese. After three games, the champions are bottom of the table with 0 points and 2:9 goals.

At the top end of the table is Servette, who also beat Yverdon at home four days after beating YB 3:1 in the early game. Outnumbered and thanks to a quick 2-0 lead thanks to a goal from Dereck Kutesa and an own goal from former Servettien Anthony Sauthier, Thomas Häberli's team won 3-2. It was only the second time that Servette had won the first three Super League games of a season.

FC Zurich, who beat FC Winterthur 4-2 at home, are on two wins. Matteo Di Giusto brought FCW back into the match twice with goals at 1:1 and 2:2. A penalty from Antonio Marchesano (59') and a goal from Juan Perea in stoppage time secured FCZ the three points with a 4-2 victory.

Alongside YB and Yverdon, FC Basel are also still without points. They lost 2-1 at home to Lugano on Saturday, while the Luganesi, like Zurich and promoted Sion (4-0 against Lausanne-Sport), have started with two wins.
