EHC Kloten signs Finnish defenseman Sami Niku. The 27-year-old defenseman comes from Tampereen Ilves and signs a one-year contract in Kloten.

The club made the announcement on Tuesday.

Niku was drafted in the seventh round by the Winnipeg Jets in 2015 and played five seasons in the NHL for the Jets and the Montreal Canadiens. He moved back to his home country in 2022.
