Fribourg-Gottéron also won their fourth duel of the season against Zug, this time away from home 3:1. Henrik Borgström scored the decisive 2:1 after 40 seconds in the final period on the power play, when the Finn pushed the puck over the line after a scramble in front of the goal. With 72 seconds remaining, Maximilian Streule made it all clear with a shot into the empty net. It was Fribourg's tenth win in the last eleven games and goalkeeper Reto Berra did not appear on the ice for the visitors in the final period, being replaced by the impeccable Loic Galley. For EVZ, Raphael Diaz played his first game since September 23, 2025, struggling with an injured vestibular organ.

Lions scrape to victory against Ajoie

In their first home game of the season against bottom-of-the-table Ajoie, the ZSC Lions lost 2:3 after leading 2:0. The defending champions scored the first two goals again thanks to Justin Sigrist (7th) and Sven Andrighetto (31st) - the latter scoring for the seventh game in a row. Ajoie reduced the deficit to 1:2 in the 38th minute through Anttoni Honka on the power play, but that was the end of the parallels. ZSC goalie Simon Hrubec could not be beaten again, although the Jura team recorded more shots on goal (27:22) than the Lions. The Zurich team had previously lost three times in a row in front of their home crowd.

Davos still a force at home

Davos celebrated its 22nd win in its 24th home game of the season with a 4-3 victory over the SCL Tigers and can no longer be displaced from the top of the table. Four of the seven goals were scored in the first seven minutes of the middle third, three for the visitors and one for the HCD. After Rasmus Asplund had put the Grisons back in front 27 seconds after Dario Rohrbach (23rd) had tied the game at 1:1, André Petersson (25th) and Jiri Felcman (27th) turned the game in the Emmental's favor. Davos responded in the final period with goals from Calle Andersson (45) and Matej Stransky (47). The latter scored for the 24th time in the current championship. The Tigers lost away from home for the sixth time in a row.

Kloten wins after a late equalizer

The first duel in the current championship in Bern ended 1:0 for Kloten. This time it only took 104 seconds before Thierry Schild scored the 1:0 for the hosts. But then the two teams were again stingy with goals. Bern dominated the opening period with 13:1 shots on goal, but were unable to add to their tally. Tyler Morley equalized for Kloten with his tenth goal of the season 34 seconds before the end, when the visitors were playing without a goalie. And it got even better for the Zurich team: defender Max Lindroth scored the winner in the 63rd minute. Kloten celebrated their third success in a row in Bern.

Biel with a rare away win

Biel occupy last place in the away table. In Lugano, however, they recorded their sixth victory on foreign ice this season - the Seelanders won 4:3 after a penalty shootout. While Lias Andersson and Mark Sever were successful for the visitors in the shootout, only Luca Fazzini scored for Lugano, who had saved his team in overtime with the 3:3 in the 47th minute. These two teams had only won at home in their first three meetings of the season.

Servette still in the doldrums

Genève-Servette had lost three in a row before the Olympic break, conceding 14 goals in the process. The visitors fell behind after just 43 seconds at Rapperswil-Jona Lakers, with Malte Strömwall scoring the goal. Although Sakari Manninen equalized in the 8th minute with a shorthander to make it 1:1, Rapperswil forward Tyler Moy also scored in the 36th minute while short-handed. In the final two minutes, Gian-Marco Wetter and Jonas Taibel scored two empty netters to decide the game in favour of the Lakers. Servette thus lost for the fourth time in a row.

Second win for Ambri under Tapola

Ambri-Piotta played two games before the Olympic break under former SCB coach Jussi Tapola, who has been hired until the end of the season. A win in the derby against Lugano was followed by a clear defeat in Langnau. Against Lausanne, HCAP seemed to slide into its second defeat under the Finnish tactician. Antti Suomela and Ahti Oksanen put the LHC in front by the first break. However, Dominic Zwerger and top scorer Chris DiDomenico equalized shortly before the second buzzer. Jesse Virtanen gave his compatriot on the boards the second win with a goal in overtime. Since Kloten also won after overtime, Ambri remains in second-last place. Incidentally, Tapola is likely to remain only a temporary solution on the ice, regardless of the outcome of the season. (ssch)
