Daniel Gygax joins the U21 national team as assistant coach. The former Swiss international is now part of head coach Sascha Stauch's technical staff.

Gygax replaces Enrico Schirinzi, who joins Young Boys as assistant coach to Patrick Rahmen. Gygax has worked as a youth coach at FC Zurich since 2017. Last season, he became Swiss champion with the U17s and reached the cup final.

With Fabio Scali, the association was able to close a second personnel gap in the oldest junior team. The soon-to-be 37-year-old Italian will become athletics coach and succeed Thomas Bernhard, who will be working for the first team at FC Basel in future.

Gygax and Scali will be involved for the first time in the next team move with the European Championship qualifiers against Albania (September 6) and in Montenegro (September 10).
