Werner Schlegel somewhat surprisingly wins the Schwarzsee-Schwinget, the second Bergkranzfest of the season. The 21-year-old from Toggenburg defeats Adrian Walther in the final round after a counterattack.

For Schlegel, this is his most valuable victory ever. In the fifth competition against fellow RS fighter Walther, Schlegel was not put on his back for the first time. The Bernese had attacked, but Schlegel quickly found his footing and put Walther in an awkward position.
The party had started with a bang. Walther defeated Samuel Giger and thus successfully took revenge for his defeat in the final round at Unspunnen 2023. The Thurgau native then turned up the heat, but was unable to make it into the final round.
