The Rapperswil-Jona Lakers are strengthening the roster of their National League team with the Swede Philip Holm. The defenseman has signed a contract for the coming season.

The 32-year-old Holm joins the St. Gallen team after two seasons with the Swedish club Örebro. He is the seventh foreigner in their team. Previously, he also played in the KHL, Finland and North America, where he made 96 appearances in the AHL and one game in the NHL with the Vancouver Canucks.
The two-time World Championship participant has also played in the top Swiss league. In the 2019/20 season, he played 9 games for Lausanne.
