FC Zurich remain unbeaten in the championship. Three days after the 3-0 defeat in the European Cup against Guimarães, FCZ won 2-0 at home against Lausanne-Sport.

Under Ricardo Moniz, FC Zurich are doing extremely well in the league. In the last nine games under the Dutchman, they have scored 22 points. The current Super League leaders have earned the last three by managing a somewhat fortunate 1-0 lead.

Six minutes before the break, the strong Mounir Chouiar initiated an action on the left side of the attack, which Juan Perea finished off via the crossbar and opposite number Sekou Fofana to make it 1-0. Zurich then controlled the game quite skillfully and secured a 2:0 victory deep into stoppage time after a counter-attack by 18-year-old Joseph Sabobo.

Lausanne-Sport had their best phase shortly before the 0:2, with Teddy Okou failing to beat FCZ keeper Yanick Brecher in the 93rd minute. The visitors' best chance to score, however, was Antoine Bernede's 26th-minute effort that failed to hit the post.
