Customer information at stations is largely available again and rail traffic is stabilizing, according to an update at 12.00 noon. There are still some subsequent delays. SBB assumed that the situation would return to normal during the afternoon.

The IT breakdown occurred at around 10.00 am. The reason given by SBB was work on telecommunications software. As a result of the IT disruption, SBB's customer information was severely restricted. Train services were also partially affected. Safety-relevant systems were not affected by the disruption, according to the statement. Security was guaranteed at all times.
