The weather fairy was a little indecisive, but the Albanifest was spared any significant weather events, the Albanifest committee announced on Sunday. The exuberant but peaceful atmosphere among the fan groups of the two teams after the Swiss victory over Italy in the European Championship round of 16 was remarkable.

In addition to the concerts on the popular stage on Kirchplatz and in the festival cafés, the Afro-Pfingsten stage on the corner of Tösstalstrasse and Neustadtgasse was an additional magnet. The Chinder-Albani with special rides in the Stadtgarten, the varied culinary offerings and the guided tour on the historical background of the festival were also well received.

The police spoke of a generally peaceful festival. On Sunday night, however, they often had to be called out due to fights and arguments.

The altercations were often related to excessive alcohol consumption, wrote the city police, the rescue service and Schutz & Intervention Winterthur in a joint communiqué on Sunday.

According to the information provided, there were no serious injuries following fights. However, they often had to help people who were heavily intoxicated.

According to the press release, a total of 67 people required medical assistance by Sunday morning, four of whom had to be transported to hospital. Mostly minor injuries such as cuts and bruises or medical problems such as dizziness, intoxication and malaise were treated. The number of patients was significantly lower than in the previous year.
