Particularly tragic: when hundreds of people gathered on Monday to rescue the victims of the disaster, another landslide reportedly occurred. Due to the heavy rainfall, another rescue operation was initially not possible.

With the start of the rainy season, landslides are not uncommon in the hilly region. The first mudslides had already occurred on Sunday.
