The children's parliament of the city of Bern has awarded a prize for child-friendly behavior during the summer session. The so-called Olé prize was awarded to BSC Young Boys for allowing under-16s to buy cheap tickets in the B sector.

YB won with 47 votes against the Dählhölzli zoo with its free admission for municipal schools, as the city of Bern announced on Thursday. Migros, which gave every child an Easter bunny at Easter in return for a drawing, was also defeated.

The young parliamentarians awarded the Plämu prize for child-unfriendly behavior to the BEA trade exhibition with 32 votes. According to the press release, the reason for this is that the Lunapark offers too few roller coasters for children between the ages of six and twelve.

In addition, the members of parliament passed a postulate with 50 votes, according to which the municipal council must do more to ensure a waste-free city. The city government should examine what measures the city of Bern is implementing in the area of littering, whether these are sufficient and what new measures it can take.
