Traffic accident Car crashes into four members of the army in Chur - one seriously injured
Four members of the armed forces were hit and injured by a car on the sidewalk in Chur on Wednesday evening. One of them suffered serious head injuries, as the Chur city police reported on Thursday.

The accident occurred shortly after 8 p.m. near the barracks. A motorist braked in front of a pedestrian crossing in front of the barracks. In order to avoid a rear-end collision with this car, a following motorist steered his car to the right and drove past him.
In doing so, his car grazed the stationary car and hit four members of the army on the sidewalk who were about to cross Kasernenstrasse.
The seriously injured member of the army was taken to the cantonal hospital. The three other injured persons went to the hospital on their own, according to the Chur municipal police.
The public prosecutor's office ordered a blood and urine sample to be taken from the driver and proceedings were initiated accordingly, according to the press release. The exact circumstances of the accident are being investigated.
