The District Court of Uster ZH has found a 30-year-old Swiss man guilty of intentional homicide. He stabbed a man to death in November 2022 after going out in Uster.

The accused was sentenced to 11 years' imprisonment, as the judge said at the sentencing hearing on Friday afternoon. The public prosecutor's office demanded a significantly longer prison sentence of 18 years. The defense lawyer pleaded self-defense and requested an acquittal.

The verdict is not yet final. It can be appealed to the Zurich High Court.
