Energy Damage: Axpo shuts down power plants in the flood area

Axpo has shut down the six power plants it operates in Misox GR due to the flood situation. According to the energy company, some of the plants suffered damage.

For example, the plants and reservoirs of Elettricità Industriale SA (Elin), Axpo announced on Monday. These could only be put back into operation after repairs.

The power plants of Officine Idroelettriche Mesolcina (OIM) and Calancasca AG had also suffered minor damage, according to Axpo. However, they are in a safe condition and ready for operation. They will be recommissioned in consultation with the authorities.
