Traffic accident E-bike rider dies in collision with truck in Uetendorf

A 76-year-old driver of an electric bike died in a collision with a truck in Uetendorf on Thursday afternoon. The truck driver was uninjured. The accident occurred when the two-wheeler rider turned onto a highway slip road.

Despite immediate rescue measures, the man from the canton of Bern died at the scene of the accident, according to the cantonal police. The Gürbetal feeder road was closed for several hours. The Oberland public prosecutor's office and the police began an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
