Courts Election of an additional presidency at the Basel Criminal Court

On August 18, Basel-Stadt will hold elections for two additional presidencies of the criminal court and the replacement election of three presidents of the court. According to the Basel State Chancellery, only one of the additional presidencies will be a competitive election.

The joint candidate of the GLP and the conservative parties LDP, FDP, Mitte, EVP and SVP, Simone Lustenberger, and the independent candidate Daniel Bäumlin are running for the 80% position.

No ballot will be necessary to fill the other presidencies because only as many candidacies have been received as there are vacancies to be filled.
