The Israeli army has lifted special orders for civilians from the greater Tel Aviv area to the north of the country following the Hezbollah attack. After a consultation with the military leadership, it was decided to return to routine in most of the areas, said army spokesman Daniel Hagari. Restrictions were only still in place in the border area with Lebanon and in certain villages on the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. He called on the country's citizens to remain vigilant.

Hagari said that most of the Hezbollah retaliatory attack had been foiled. During the night, the army had identified preparations by the Lebanese Shiite militia for attacks on the north and center of Israel. Around 100 Israeli Air Force fighter jets had attacked thousands of launchers, mainly targeting northern Israel.

"We also attacked drones that targeted the center of Israel," Hagari explained. A "broader threat" had also been removed, with a focus on future rocket attacks on northern Israel, he said, without giving further details. In the process, 40 regions in the south of Lebanon had been attacked. A "terrorist cell" had also been targeted.

The information could not be independently verified. According to media reports, Hezbollah fired more than 200 rockets and around 20 drones into Israeli territory.
