Several civilians have been killed and injured by Russian air and artillery attacks on Ukrainian territory, according to the authorities. After a visit by President Volodymyr Zelenskyi, shells hit the city of Zaporizhzhya on Monday evening, killing two people. One victim was an eight-year-old boy, regional governor Ivan Fedorov wrote on Telegram. One building was damaged. Zelenskyi had met with Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof in the frontline city.

In the large city of Dnipro, one man was killed and six people injured by rocket fire, according to the local administration. According to reports, a transformer station was hit in the region. In the north-eastern region of Sumy, Russian aerial bombs and artillery shells have hit numerous locations since Monday. Three people were injured. Supplies for Ukrainian troops on their offensive in the Russian region of Kursk pass through the Sumy region on the border with Russia.

Russian drones shot down

The Ukrainian air force announced that 27 of 35 attacking Russian combat drones of Iranian design had been shot down at night. Ukraine has been fending off a Russian invasion for two and a half years.
