The campaign team of US Vice President Kamala Harris is reportedly collecting record donations following President Joe Biden's withdrawal from the race for another term in office. In the past 24 hours, 81 million US dollars (73 million euros) have been raised, the team announced. This is the highest sum ever collected by a potential candidate in this period of time, it said. The 81 million US dollars will flow into a fund already filled with around 240 million US dollars (220 million euros). Harris' campaign team also announced that the followers of her X account "KamalaHQ" had doubled overnight.
