Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei considers the Lebanese Hezbollah militia to be "invincible". "The criminal Zionists (Israelis) should know that they are incapable of damaging the stable structure of Hezbollah as the leader of the resistance front," Khamenei said in a press release, according to the Irna news agency.

Khamenei did not address the death of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah, which was announced by Israel.

Iran's resistance front against Israel includes non-state allies such as Hezbollah in Lebanon, Hamas in the Gaza Strip, the Houthi militia in Yemen and militias in Iraq and Syria.

The entire Islamic world should now stand by Lebanon and Hezbollah and continue the fight against Israel, said Khamenei. However, the cleric did not say how Iran would react.
