According to the Ministry of Health, 45 people were killed and 70 injured in attacks on Ain al-Dilb in the south. Dozens of people were also killed in attacks in the north of the Bekaa Valley near the border with Syria.

Since the beginning of the new confrontations between Israel's military and Hezbollah a year ago, more than 1,600 people have been killed in Lebanon, including more than 100 children and almost 200 women, according to official figures. A further 8,400 people were injured. The Ministry of Health does not differentiate between civilians and militant Hezbollah members in the casualty figures.

Hezbollah declared that it had once again attacked an Israeli military base and the northern city of Safed with rockets.
